Get Ready to Grunt! The map is set, and the countdown to the Worm Gruntin’ Festival is officially on! Whether you’re here for the legendary gruntin’ contest, the live music, or to soak up the Sopchoppy vibes, we’ve got a full day of fun planned.
Festival Highlights:
Wiggle Worm Run: Kick things off with some energy down Dickson St!
Depot Park: The central hub for all your favorite Arts & Craft vendors.
Music Stage: Catch live performances all day in the heart of the park.
Food Vendors: We’ve got Rose Street lined with the best local eats!
Kids’ Zone: Touch tanks and playground activities to keep the little ones busy.
Know Before You Go:
Parking: Free parking is available at the Sopchoppy School and off Rose St.
Accessibility: Disabled parking is located near City Hall and the Loading Zone.

Come join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026 for the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Festival Wiggle Worm Fun Run! This family-friendly event, which officially kicks off the 24th Annual Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Festival, is a 1.4 mile Fun Run/Walk that meanders through historic downtown Sopchoppy, Florida. Walkers and runners are both welcome! This years' theme is "What a Wonderful Worm!"
Early registration (on or before March 12) is $20 and includes a race T-shirt. Late registration (March 13 to day of race) is $25 and includes a race T-shirt (if available). Children 12 and under are $15 (both early and late) and there is also a $10 no T-shirt option on the day of the race. Awards will be given to the first three adult men and and first three adult women to cross the finish line, and also to the first three 12 and under girls and first three 12 and under boys to cross the finish line. All registrants will receive a fuzzy worm necklace! And remember, the early bird gets the worm!
