Annual Firecracker 5K and 1-Mile Sparkler Run

The Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Virtual Kiwanis Club of the Big Bend have joined forces to bring you the 43rd Annual Firecracker 5K Race and 1-Mile Sparkler Run at Cascades Park on July 4th, 2026. This Grand Prix event welcomes all runners while the 1-Mile Run is geared towards children. All family and friends are welcome to join us for Tallahassee's largest Independence Day kickoff event, made even more memorable this year as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. In addition to the races, we will have free kids activities and treats. Details for runner registration, volunteer registration, packet pick-ups, and more will be shared on our website, be sure to mark your calendars!
