Join us for the first Summer Family Fun Day on June 20 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. From 10:00am-12:00pm, we will be hosting a children's book reading of “Here We Are”, followed by a fun dance and music group performance. Afterward, hang out for refreshments and drop-in tours of our current exhibitions.
“Here We Are” was written and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. The book explores the vastness of space, the diversity of humanity, and the importance of looking after our planet.
During this reading and performance activity, kids and parents will have a chance to connect with one of our current exhibitions on display: "Like everything alive that we try to hold forever”. The exhibition is curated by Esker Foundation’s Elizabeth Diggon, Naomi Potter, and Shauna Thompson and produced by Independent Curators International (ICI) in partnership with Esker Foundation (Calgary, Canada). It presents the work of seven artists whose work examines the relationship between human bodies and non-human objects.
This event is for visitors 16 and under and their families. Pre-register through the Linkin Bio. All materials will be provided, and free parking will be available in the Call St Garage.
