
The Buddy Walk® was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote the message that individuals with Down Syndrome possess a wide range of abilities and are active participants in the community. Our local walk by Down Syndrome Foundation of Tallahassee has proven to be a premier advocacy event for the Down Syndrome community.
Join us for the Down Syndrome Foundation of Tallahassee’s Annual Buddy Walk® and Family Fun Day. In addition to the Walk, there will be fun activities for the whole family including music, live entertainment, a medal ceremony, face painting, carnival games, and exhibits. All activities are free and open to the public.
The Buddy Walk®, a one-mile advocacy walk around Pedrick Pond will demonstrate support of the acceptance and inclusion of people with Down Syndrome. Children and adults with Down Syndrome, along with their families, friends, and local supporters take part in the celebration each year.
