Basic Blacksmithing Workshop with Mission San Luis

Introduction to Blacksmithing. Learn how to build a fire in a Spanish style forge, as well as fire and hammer techniques. Participant will produce one take-home item.

First Saturdays

9:30 – 3:00 pm

Class Size: 2 participants

Ages: 13 and up (Under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Requirements: Long pants, closed toe shoes, and clothing made of natural (non-synthetic) fibers such as cotton or linen. Eye protection is necessary, and safety glasses will be provided. Avoid wearing contact lenses.
