How the Program Works:

We'll be following the Tinkergarten outdoor learning program and curriculum. Each week, I'll invite children into a new, expert-designed play lesson developed to spark wonder, inspire purposeful play and support kids in developing essential skills. To kids, it's all FUN!
Season Goals: This Spring our seasonal skill is Empathy—that human superpower that enables us to see the world through another person's eyes and forms the cornerstone for strong relationships and community connections. Our lessons will focus on helping kids learn to recognize emotions in themselves and others, take another person (or creature's) perspective, and to take action in care for the earth and their communities. As always creatures will be our teachers, and he magical, shifting landscape of spring will be our inspiration.

Live Class:
Where: Our class sessions will meet in J. Lee Vause Park. We usually meet at the picnic table under the oak tree at the last parking lot of the park driving loop. If it is raining we might meet under a pavilion instead.
Who: Tinkergarten sessions are designed for grown-ups and child(ren) to experience together. To provide for the safety of everyone who participates, children attend along with an adult from their own household or pod.
What To Bring: Each week, families should bring water bottles, a blanket to sit on and seasonally appropriate layers. From time to time, families will bring one or two household items for their child(ren) to use along with the materials I provide.
Weather: We love to play in (nearly) all weather in the Tinkergarten program. But, in the case of unsafe weather, I will update families at least 90 minutes prior to class by email and text message.
